Good Omen Presents Delivers on First Event

On August 9th, the first event to be promoted by Good Omen Presents took place at The Fink in Napa. It was the continuation/scene change for the Napa Valley Distillery’s comedy showcases. The event featured comedians Kiry Shabazz, Luke Soin and of course Jake Rizzly as host.

The Napa Valley Distillery became the unfortunate victim of a wayward fire from an auto accident on the highway. The Distillery had become one of the premier spots for local music in Napa, and the space was cultivated by their events coordinator / promoter, Damian Burford. Damian’s partnership with Napa native Jake Rizzly has been ongoing, and the comedy shows at the Distillery were always crowd pleasing,

Jake Rizzly

Jake Rizzly has been hosting comedy nights in various Napa locations for the past few years. These comedy nights have brought in all sorts of great comedians, from other locals to national touring acts.

Luke Soin

Sacramento’s Luke Soin hilariously opened up about life and being a newly single man.

Kiry Shabazz

The headliner for the evening was Kiry Shabazz. Kiry has been featured on the Tonight Show as well as Bill Burr’s ‘The Ringers’. During his set, Kiry riffed on a myriad of topics, notably respectfully sparring with a few Trump supporters in the audience. The Napa locals were laughing all night, and The Fink enjoyed the benefit of a wonderful night of comedy.

Local Napa promoter, Damian Burford

Damian is a Napa transplant from Denver, Colorado and during his tenure in town he has been working on optimizing the local entertainment scene. Most notably he worked on cultivating the live events at the Distillery which quickly became one of the few places that showcased primarily local and primarily original music. With the Distillery out of action for now, Damian is still making events happen with this comedy showcase at the Fink being the first one.

We are hopeful that the Distillery will return better than ever once it’s repaired - but it’s awesome to see Damian still out here hustling and promoting events in Napa.
